Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek is one of the most popular trekking in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Ghorepani Poonhill  starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. From Pokhara, we will take another short drive to Nayapul – the starting point of our trek. From Nayapul we will start our trek along the trail that leads through interesting villages, lush and green forests filled with rhododendron, pine and oaks trees towards Tikhedhunga. From there, our trail climbs steadily for a few hours until we arrive at Ghorepani.



Then we will accomplish an early morning hike to Poonhill at 3210 meters for enjoying a stunning sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m, Annapurna South 7219m, Machhapuchhre (Fish-Tail) 6997m, Tukuche Peak 6920m, Hiunchuli 6441m and other numerous snowcapped peaks. We will spend some quality time at the viewpoint before heading back to Ghorepani. From there, our trail descends down to Ghandruk – a large Gurung settlement.


We continue our descending trek passing through Potana to arrive at Dhampus Phedi, where the trek ends technically. Our wonderful trekking experience at Ghorepani and Poonhill ends with a scenic drive from Dhampus Phedi to Kathmandu via Pokhara.
